Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) never advocated extremism, says Pakistani President

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) The President was addressing the National Seerat Conference in Islamabad on Tuesday to mark the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).He said that at the dent of his “Seerat-e-Tayyaba”‚ Prophet Muhammad (SAW) promoted harmony among people.“Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has urged people not to say harsh words or pass negative comments even for enemies.”The President said the entire life of holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is a complete code of life and beacon of guidance and the human being will be successful if they follow his teachings.Addressing the conference Minister of State for Religious Affairs Amin ul Hasnat said that objective of current years Seerat Conference is to find out solution of the prevailing problems in the light of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).In his address Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee‚ Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that “We should awaken our conscience and come out of fear to work for dignity and honour of Ummah and the state and people of Pakistan.”Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said the people can only find solution of their problems by following Seerat-e-Nabvi (SAW).A religious scholar Qari Hanif Jalandhry said that affairs of government can only be run smoothly by following the principles of Uswa-e-Hasana.Another scholar Allama Amin Shahidi suggested that those Ulema should be given key responsibilities who are working for development of harmony among the people.The theme of this years conference was Responsible Use of Official Status and Resources in the Light of Teachings of holy Prophet.On the occasion‚ the President gave away cash prizes to the scholars for their papers on the life and teachings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him].Eid Millad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) was celebrated with full religious zeal and fervor in Pakistan on Tuesday. The day dawned with thirty-one gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one gun salute in the provincial capitals.Various religious and social organizations took out processions and organized Mahafil-e-Milad. Mosques‚ buildings‚ markets and main streets were decorated with colourful banners and lights. /149
